Andrew Stewardson is an infectious diseases physician with research interests in infection control, hand hygiene and the epidemiology of antibiotic resistance. Andrew recently spent four years as a research fellow with the Infection Control Program at the University of Geneva Hospitals and during this time he also collaborated with the WHO Patient Safety program. He has undertaken post-graduate training in epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of Geneva (Geneva, Switzerland) and Harvard School of Public Health (Boston, US). He is currently national project manager with Hand Hygiene Australia.
