Margreet C. Vos (1961) studied at the Medical Faculty Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, from 1981 to 1988, Cum Laude. She was a resident for clinical microbiologist in Tilburg until 1995. Thereafter , she became a staff member in Rotterdam, Erasmus MC. Since 2012, she is a professor of Healthcare related Infections at the dept of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. She is for almost twenty years now the chair of the local infection committees at the Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, a revalidation clinic and the Harbour Hospital. She received more than 50 invited lectures nationally and internationally and has more than 100- peer reviewed publications, most of them deal with infection prevention of MSSA/MRSA, the Search and Destroy strategy, hand hygiene, outbreaks and Hospital design. She has PhD students on MSSA, MRSA, surveillance, te building and technical hospital environment. outbreaks and Implementation Science. She is member or chair of many national committees or working groups concerning infection prevention in general or MRSA, Hospital design and infection prevention or quality in infection control or the laboratory.
